Alfred Hitchcock

Alfred Hitchcock was born in London in 1899 and died in Los Angeles in 1980. Genius of the cinema, Alfred Hitchcock has invented a lot of cinematographic techniques, visual “tricks” that we find today in many films. Perfectionist without competitor, he is certainly the director who has had the most influence in history of cinema.

Alfred Hitchcock in Emir Kusturica's films

To pay him an homage, Emir Kusturica used in Arizona Dream one of the most well-known scene of North by Northwest, where Cary Grant imposes his presence in the famous ”duel” with the plane. The parallel is complete since real takes from Hitchcock's film were inserted during Paul's performance, and later he experienced it again facing Elaine Stalker's plane.
