Bijelo Dugme

At 16, after violin studies, Goran Bregović created in Sarajevo a band called Jutro. The band manages to first deal and release a single called ”Kad bi' bio bijelo dugme”. Their manager persuades them to change the name, surfing on this first success : Bijelo Dugme (white button) was born.

With charismatic singer Željko Bebek, as well as Alen Islamović, “Điđi” Jankelić, Milić Vukašinović, Zoran Redžić, Vlado Pravdić and Goran Ivandić, the rock band soon became a standard in Yugoslavia and from 1974 to 1989 became cult, thanks to nine very good albums.

Then, the band split, and Goran Bregović started a solo career, writing films soundtracks for Emir Kusturica or Patrick Chéreau, among many others.

In 2005, Goran Bregović managed to reunite his old friends and the band made a serie of huge concerts to live once more the phenomenon of the years 70-80. We see on the pictures below Goran surrounded by Željko Bebek, Mladen Vojicić Tifa and Alen Islamović.
